GWT-FX showing element after fade

I am fading an image out.I want to show it again after it has faded
out I have tried setting a style with opacity:1.0
and calling addStyleName on the image in the complete handler but it
does not show the image.

theFade.setEffectElement(image.getElement());
theFade.play();
theFade.addEffectCompletedHandler(new EffectCompletedHandler(){

@Override
public void onEffectCompleted(EffectCompletedEvent event) {
image.addStyleName("resetOpacity");
}

});

And here is the styleSheet

.resetOpacity{
opacity: 1.0;
visibility: visible;

}

Is the image removed from the DOM when you do a fade or something?
