Re: why my project doesn't split a png archive

Hi!

I guess the problem here is where you put your CSS declarations/definitions. It's considered better to put these definitions in a separate CSS file in your `webroot/css` directory, rather than placing them inline in your CakePHP page. Some notes to consider:

  • Use CSS background image definitions that are relative to your css files in your style sheet. Most of the time, the directory structures between your css and img directories will never change, so use this to your advantage. The HtmlHelper::css() method will automatically insert proper code to link to your style sheet.
  • If you absolutely need to use an embedded or inline style definition in your page, make sure you are referencing an image from the webroot.
