[android-developers] App Hosting Options?

I am looking to host my app with my VPS server and need to know how I
go about it. I already pay for that VPS account so getting google app
hosting is something that I plan to go to as my revenue increases and
of course traffic, but trying to find a resource on how to link the
app to the android market is not making any sense to me.

I think that I am suppose to compile the app and then upload an asp
file to the app within eclipse that when someone clicks on my app and
clicks download, the app will then be functional on the droid phone,
is this correct?
