Which is ample time for you try it out, and ask specific questions
about any problems you have encountered.

Of course it's feasible. As for whether this violates the terms of service,
and third party patents: you need to get a lawyer to answer those.

A famous app that uses a similar approach to cater for users in whose
countries there is no support for paid apps is Rom Manager. You might
want to see how it works to get some ideas. It uses PayPal for payments.
