[Google Maps API v2] Google maps intergration with android.

Okay guys. I'm wondering if it is possible for me to create an
application where i can generate gift ideas and at the same time use
google maps to tell the user the nearest location to purchase the
things.

For example, after a series of questionaires on what to get, I get
shoes as the ideal gift to buy for someone and upon clicking "Where to
buy" the nearest place from my location is being suggested.
So, what i'm planning to do is to tie the result of my program with
the categories(for those who register their business location in
google maps) in google maps and then do a distance calculation to
limit the amount unnecessary of results. Is there any tutorials for
this?
