Multiple applications, One cake

Trying to setup a multi-app/one cake installation and every tutorial I
tried to follow failed. So I deconstructed the process and did it like
I do drupal, with symlinks, and it worked.

Can anyone see a problem with this method? I've not encountered any
yet.
