User id in afterPaypalNotification

I get nothing from
$this->Session->read('Auth.User.id');
or
$this->Auth.user('id')
in afterPaypalNotification at app_controller.
Did I lost the session?
Can I send user identifier to PayPal and get it back with the IPN
notification?
