fire event

Hi,

I have text box where the user can enter a value and I have listener
to catch it.
I also have list box with available option to choose from.
When the user select a value from the list box I put the value in the
text box.
I want that after that the event of the text box will be called.

How can I fire an event to the text box from my code ?
