[Google Maps API v2] Static Maps API displays jagged markers when scaling

An image says more than 1000 words :)

http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?scale=2&size=900x200&sensor=false&markers=color:red|label:M|size:mid|Brussels,
Belgium&markers=color:red|label:N|Leuven, Belgium

When you place a marker with a non-default size (mid for example), and
you scale the map with the scale parameter, the marker is not sharp (a
low resolution version is used). A marker with the default size is
shown correctly though.
