Fresh Cake install, Bake not working

I'm new to Cake, and I have the latest version installed on my hosting
server. MySQL DB connection is set up and works. I've made no
changes.

Using SSH, I cd into app/Console and try to run "./cake bake", but I
get this parse error:

<br />
<b>Parse error</b>: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting
T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in <b>/home/content/
81/8184881/html/system/lib/Cake/Console/ShellDispatcher.php</b> on
line <b>32</b><br />

Is there something obvious that I've done wrong or haven't done?

Any help would be much appreciated.
