[Google Maps API v2] Change projection of Google maps using Maps API or Change the projection in KML file

I have made a KML file by converting a Shapefile(ESRI format) to KML
using below free tool.

The above tool to convert shapefile to KML has no option to specify
projection.

Now the KML file are getting overlayed on Google Earth properly but
when i try to use it in Google maps they are getting distorted.

Google maps uses Mercater Projection.
