How works Controller::redirect() in Cake 2.0

Hello everybody,

i try to create a login for my webapp which is based on JQuery Mobile.
Therefore Jquery loads every page via ajax also the result of the
login redirect. But this is a cross controller redirect so that the
setAction not possible is.

Is now somewhere a new method to redirect with ajax or is this (http://
bakery.cakephp.org/articles/sunertl/2006/12/17/redirects-with-ajax)
one the best practise?

If it is, how is it working. Why should I add the prefix /ajax/?? I
don't understand it.
