For government to spend money government must 'print' money and in this
economy the effort is inflationary.

The allocation for unemployment and food stamp payments is a half
measure because the recipients produce nothing for the money. At best
it might give some a psychological boost.

Tax cuts on the other hand leave money with those who produce something
of value AND who put their money back into the economy without increasing
inflation.
