[android-developers] Detect if the device is a tablet or phone

Hi,

Is there any way to check if the device you have is a tablet or
phone? I had a look at these links:

I am told that checking for SDK version as is given in the second
link is not right since some tablets support Gingerbread. Is the
screen size>=6 as is given in the first link the correct way to check
if the device is a phone or tablet?
