[android-developers] Re: Malfunction of socket's connection in 3G mode (not in WiFi)

Scoket behaviour can be different on mobile vs WiFi and has it has been stated it might be carrier dependent.

In particular you may not get the same Exception.
For example in my particular case I get SocketTimeoutException on mobile vs ConnectTimeoutException on WiFi.
