question about django-admin.py

Hi, everyone:
Does anyone run the following command recently: 

django-admin.py startproject project 

It does not create what the django document says:
it creates somehting like:

project/
    __init__.py
    manage.py
    settings.py
    urls.py
    project/
        __init__.py
        manage.py
        settings.py
        urls.py


it is like nested and duplicated directory.
