[android-developers] Adjust Screen Size When Soft Keyboard Shown

Right now in my app, when the soft keyboard is shown, it does not resize my activity to the upper half of the screen that is not being covered by the keyboard, higing some important elements. How would I detect that the soft keyboard has been shown, and then change my layout to fit?
