Looping?

byte[] bom = {(byte)0xEF, (byte)0xBB, (byte)0xBF };
byte[] byteResult =
Charset.forName("UTF-8").encode(result.toString()).array();

fos = new FileOutputStream(file);
fos.write(bom);
fos.write(byteResult);

Doesn't this work?
