Why does ValueChangeHandler fire twice for DateBox?

Why does ValueChangeHandler fire twice for DateBox? Issue 4785: http://code.google.com/p/google-web-toolkit/issues/detail?id=4785

The DateBox value change event fires twice in my Editor:

    @UiField DateBox yearStart; 
    
    //...

    yearStart.addValueChangeHandler(new ValueChangeHandler<Date>() {
      public void onValueChange(ValueChangeEvent<Date> event) {
        drawAreYouSure(1, event.getValue());
      }
    });

Please star the issue for a fix :)
