[android-developers] tracing

Should you be in Debug mode to properly use this tracing functionality?

    // start tracing to "/sdcard/calc.trace"

    Debug.startMethodTracing("calc");

    // ...

    // stop tracing

    Debug.stopMethodTracing();

Or, does it pretty much not matter?
