GWT Cross Browser Support

I have a webe page developped using GWT. Used Horizontal, Vertical,
Absolute Panels with borders.
The Paanels has backgrond images. The size, font etc are given using
Style sheet, and measurmen given is in Pixes.
The page rendersing is different in IE than in Google Chrome. The
Google Chrome gives me as required page. But in IE 8, or IE9, the
page looks like very bad, and all panels are not exactly same as in
Chrome.

Can any pleease give any guidance what to be done to make the web page
are same in all browsers?
