As noted this is the OLD style URL.

If you upgraded to the new API, you would have a url that beginins with:
http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?

eg

http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?&size=500x300&markers=48.250283,11.620320&maptype=roadmap&zoom=14&sensor=false
