Strange GWT runtime error: (TypeError): this.abort is not a function

Using GWT 2.4. Once in a while at runtime I get the following error
in my app's global exception handler:

(TypeError): this.abort is not a function

This comes from the message variable below.

public void onUncaughtException(Throwable t) {
t.getClass().getName();
t.getMessage()
message += t.getClass().getName() + ":" + t.getMessage();
}

The best I can tell it looks like that error message originates in com/
google/gwt/dev/js/rhino/Messages.properties, e.g.

msg.isnt.function =\ {0} is not a function.

However I haven't found any place this property is used. I was hoping
someone could point me in the right direction to resolve this.

Thanks,
-Dave
