ListEditor.class - put a try {} catch {} around the flush() { list.flush() }

How about put a try catch around the list.flush() for tracking down the offending null list. 

ListEditor.class {
  //...
  public void flush() {
    list.flush(); // <<<< try catch this for easier debugging
  }
  //...
}

Thoughts?
