[OFF TOPIC] Seeking Senior Django Developer in L.A. Area (Back-end / Freelance / Los Angeles)

OurGroup, Inc. is looking for senior level (6+ years of total experience) back-end developers in or near the Los Angeles area to join our growing team. Ideally, you would have the following qualities:

* At least 3 years of experience with Django
* Strong Python skills, and a good understanding of OOP concepts
* Be familiar enough with the framework's architecture to extend it as required, and to come up with workarounds to problems where necessary
* A solid understanding of the ORM and how it affects performance on the (SQL) data layer
* Experience writing test-driven code and with agile development processes
* Experience designing/developing frameworks/plugins/apps, as well as contributing to existing open-source projects are pluses.

You will be working primarily in the scope of back-end engineer--designing, implementing and supporting Django apps and other functionality for our platform. You will be interfacing directly with the team (including front-end developers and management) to coordinate the development of platform features. As we are a growing team, you will be expected to be a self-starter and to take ownership of the projects/tasks assigned to you.

This posting is for a long-term contract position that may grow into a full-time position. You will primarily be working from your own location, with occasional meetings in the LA area.
