Re: Loginform without formhelper

The helper just produces HTML that you can put in divs or whatever and then style with CSS. Might be better if you showed some code.

Hello there,

I´m new with CakePHP and did the Cookbook-tutorials first. They worked quite nice, but now i have the first questions. I wanted to change the layout of the login form. It took a long time to this because of the limitations of the form helper. And i realized, that it would propably be easier to just write the HTML-Code than try to do the job with the formhelper.
For the form-action i use "<?=$this->here ?>", which works i think. But when I press the submit button (i just write the button in plain HTML, not using the helpers $form->end() something), the login doesnt work any more sad.gif Isn´t this possible with cakephp?

Looking forward to your answers and sorry fpr my englisch,

alxy

PS: ich posted this also in unofficial CakePHP forum, but there seems to be no activity at all. So I try here now :)
