[android-developers] Any way to prevent the "Unfortunately, X has stopped" message on ICS?

I have only seen this when running our application on ICS. When I bring up the list of running processes and swipe to kill our app, the message, "Unfortunately, X has stopped" comes up, sometimes twice (once for each service?). I do not see this with other applications, so I am thinking there is some way to prevent it?
