[android-developers] Gingerbread sandwich

So, there was Android 1 and Android 2, which were basically for phones.

Then, came Android 3, which was basically for tablets.

Then, came Android 4, which is for phones again.  Is it safe to say that Android 4 is basically a continuation of Android 2 for the most part?
