During the initial run of your application you can copy the required files from the package to the sd card.Bonus points if you use the standard folder ( /data/Android/your.app.name/files  or some such)

No my question is: "how do I let the installation apk install the in a folder on /mnt/sdcard?"

Or if people think it is possible to play them from the res or assets folder :  "how do I do that?"
