[QUESTION] Developing for mobile

Hello!
I need to develop a small application targeted just to mobiles (iOS and Android, maybe just browsers based on the webkit engine)
I'm new to GWT, but I've been suggested to use it because it works well on mobiles and scales pretty easily.

The questions are:

1. Is it true it works fine on mobiles?
2. If so, is plain GWT enough, or should I use some other library, like gwt-mobile-webkit? Thing is, its last release dates to 2010...
