I when I add my modules .java files into the jar and pass it to my application the compiler works. But when I put the .java files of the module into a -sources.jar and then add that to the classpath of my application the compile does not work, and I get the following error.

ERROR] Line 48: No source code is available for type

It *should* work, and actually, it works for many of us (particularly those using Maven). It also works for javax.validation-1.0.0.jar and javax.validation-1.0.0-sources.jar from the GWT SDK bundle for instance.

Check the layout of your -sources.jar. Running "jar xf foo.jar" and "jar xf foo-sources.jar" in the same folder should put the *.java next to their *.class counterparts. If that isn't the case, then you have a problem with your -sources.jar.
