GWT Support for WebSockets

Hi,

I found some posts about this but they are all outdated so I decided to ask for an up-to-date statement about this.

Is there currently an official WebSocket implementation in GWT? (Not talking about Comet or other related projects)
If not, is anything planned or any release in sight?
