I want the app to save the favourite pages on the device to be viewed offline. I tried a Google and got many offline browser apps, so I know it's possible. I'm just not sure where to look in the documentation.

This is not really Android-specific. A webpage is just a file on the inter-webs. If you want it available for offline use then instead of showing it in a WebView, copy the file contents to a local file, then load that into the WebView. Same idea if you were to "Save..." or "Save As..." a web page from your browser. Of course, if your page has dynamic content, this gets more complicated, but it sounds like you control the content, so it should be straightforward.
