Can you share your code? (the whole widget hierarchy up to the RootLayoutPanel)

The Showcase sample uses DockLayoutPanel and it seems to Just Work™ (there's an inner DockLayoutPanel nested in the outer DockLayoutPanel, and it seems to correctly resize its inner layers)
