This means that you deleted the key associated with the project.

Make sure the correct API Project is selected from the dropdown in the
menu sidebar (you may only have one), go to API Access and click
"Create new browser key". Specify the correct URL(s). You may well end
up with the same key as before: the key relates to the project, and
you can use the same key in any API used in that project (Maps V2 or
Maps V3, or Streetview API, or whatever).
