Re: How to install CakePHP 2.x on OS X 10.8?

try these :

change /etc/php.ini date.timezone to:
date.timezone = 'America/Chicago'

make tmp folder writeable:
sudo chmod -R 777 /Library/WebServer/Documents/cake2/app/tmp/

also all you setup issues is listed here: http://book.cakephp.org/2.0/en/installation.html

I'm unable to get CakePHP to work and cannot find any instructions that work for my situation - did watch a couple of videos and looked into the documentation.

I did copy the Cake folders into the root of my web server. I receive the following error when I go to the folder on my localhost using Firefox. I'm sure I'm missing something important for this configuration.

In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier.
