[android-developers] How to start developing??

Hey,
I am a newbie and have been referring tuts,videos,books on android,but when it comes to developing I cannot start working.
As now I am planning to develop an app I don't know from where to start 
How to keep a start window.How to link it to the main page etc

Plz  advise something on how to start???
