Re: Image widget with attached label widget?

What about extending horizontal/vertical panel and adding needed handlers to this widget? Just panel or even div with image and label inside.

Right now I have an image widget. I am trying to get a label to be fixated under this image widget, so when the image widget is dragged, the label will follow.

Desired performance is:
1.  When double clicking the image, you can assign a string value to the image. I then want to display this string under the image.
2.  When this image widget is created on the draw panel, no string has been assigned yet, so no label needs to be attached.
3.  Then when this string is assigned, the label appears.
4.  When the user drags the image, the label follows.

Now I started off with extending the class as Composite and was able to get the widget to respond to mouse clicks and drag and drop. But I could not utilize the actual built in drag and drop controller, which is important with how the rest of the application runs.

Is there any workarounds to be able to still extend the image class and somehow have a dynamic label that has the desired features above without having to extend/use a different widget class? Or would that really be the easiest route? If so, which widget class will perform like the Image class but still allow multiple widgets?

Thank you
