The ESRI js library is free, here is the introduction sample on how to use them: https://developers.arcgis.com/en/javascript/jstutorials/.  The GWT-ESRI library is just a wrapper.  Check out the .gwt.xml file in the sample code to see how a 3rd party library is loaded with GWT.  Note, the latest src has been moved to github: https://github.com/CSTARS/gwt-esri
