Hey Florian,

Just to be clear, your gwt.xml files should be in your source folder. So, the .gwt.xml files should never be on the same level as your war folder.

As for why putting the war folder as your root folder removed the warning, it is GWT's convention to have the war folder at the root of your project.

They are not but Eclipse somehow makes it look like that if the war
folder is open. If I close the folder one can see that it the war
folder and both xml files are on the same level.

I fell for the same optical trick when reading the release notes...
I moved them out.

I dont really understand why but putting it in the root folder removed
the warning and I now use HostedMode.
