I'm not, but it's interesting to see what ideologues do when they meet

And so begins the excuses for why Johnny can't read or behave
himself. Sheesh!

I don't care. What I care about is that they worked it out themselves
and Johnny isn't in jail being watched by a $55,000/yr guard, with a
$45,000/yr locksmith, a $140,000/yr nurse, a $38,000/yr receptionist,
and a $110,000/yr administrator. Then follow that up with a year with
a $40,000 probation officer.

Indeed. The community can go broke with your kind of justice. Fully
one third (1/3 or 0.33...) of Ohio's GRF goes to the judicial system
and the prison system. I'd say VFW justice did that community a lot
of good in the short term and the long run.

And if it's true that 1/3 of convicted felons are illegals, we should
turn them back to their fatherland with an agreement that they serve
the remainder of their term. We pay their fatherland $5,000/yr or
whatever is agreeable to imprison them.

Thanks for asking.

Obama loaded up a plane of delegates that included Mayor Daley as perhaps
the only white person on the plane, and sent them to Europe to preach about
diversity. In racist Europe, the committee got freaked out as the delegation
deplaned onto Euro soil, and moved quickly to rid themselves of this motley
crew. Europe's diversity experience had only dealt with choosing light beer,
or dark beer. Red wine or white. Wheat bread or rye. It took a polling of
only 18 votes to throw the Chicago mob out of Europe on their asses. AND
DON'T COME BACK!!!!

Your mommies pimp says that he is barely scraping by on the poor incomes

So's your current event's IQ, stupid

If the GOP had ANYTHING in the last 6 months to offer
that was causing the shift BACK to them---it's simply
not there

Therefore, even a fucking moron like you should be able
to figure out that Obama's "ratings" are being lowrered
because he's not been able to do MORE to counter what
you dumb assholes caused.

That isn't a plus your your side, dummy.

That poll has changed only 1 percent since then. On the other hand,
look at this poll:

http://www.reuters.com/article/domesticNews/idUSTRE58T0MY20090930

You can see that the problem is that the propaganda wing of the
Republican Party has been spreading fear and lies about such things as
"death panels" and the like. Americans are clearly willing to be taxed
more for better health care, but the liars on the right are fueling
skepticism. Liars like you.

You'd sure scream if $2-3 million a DAY were being
spent to support his plan---wouldn't you?

Yet when that amout is being spent by the very
institutions that caused this mess in the first
place---you don't seem to get it.

A quarter of the American people (26 percent, to be exact), according to
Friday morning's New York Times/CBS News poll, believe that the health-care
reform bills floating around Congress will create governmental death panels,
while just 23 percent say they won't. Another 30 percent believe that the
bills will allow federal tax dollars to go towards the purchase of insurance
by illegal immigrants, while just 22 percent say they won't. The right-wing
noise machine has evidently reached many right-wing ears.

But here's the stunner: In the very same poll, respondents were asked
whether they favored a Medicare-like public option for everyone. The
right-wingers were out there in roughly the same numbers that they
registered in answering the other questions: 26 percent of respondents said
they opposed the public option. But a whopping 65 supported it.

Think about that. The public option has been demonized non-stop for the past
half-year; it's the key to the Republican charge that instituting such a
program is tantamount to bringing socialism to America. They have clearly
rallied the Republican base to this position, just as they rallied the base
to fear the coming of death panels and publicly-subsidized immigrant care.
But whereas pluralities of Americans simply said they didn't know enough to
believe one thing or the other about death panels and immigrant care,
virtually all Americans not in the Republican base support the public
option.

Here, the question isn't whether the bills working their way through
Congress say X or Y. The question is whether a public option would be a good
deal for the American people, and the American people have answered that it
would. They have surely heard the claims that it would be the socialist nose
in the capitalist tent, and the only logical inference is that they actually
support socialism (not too likely) or that they don't think it would
constitute an embrace of socialism -- at least, no more than such other
government programs as Medicare or public utilities have constituted that.

Since Republican legislators represent the 26 percent of Americans opposed
to the public option, their opposition to same poses no mystery. The
conundrum is why some Democrats -- all save those from the most right-wing
districts -- oppose it. When The Post's uber-policy blogger Ezra Klein asked
North Dakota Democratic Senator Kent Conrad yesterday why he didn't support
the public option, Conrad replied, "I don't think a government-run plan best
fits this culture." In Conrad's mind, such as it is, American culture doesn'
t seem to be shaped by the American people.

Whack a mole? The only thing Ed whacks off is himself. I have asked many
times in this group to put your spammers on a shorter leash. That includes
TMT, Cliff, and now for some reason Ed Cunt in a dress. You choose to spill
your spam into m.s., I just forward it back here where it belongs. I have
never seen a post from this group reprimanding either TMT or Cliff for
cross-posting their racist bigoted crap into m.s.

Childish Ed Cunt in a dress freely admits that this is fun for him, good,
let him enjoy the fun. He's another troll that you let run off leash and
shit in m.s. I'm just throwing the shit back over the fence. Keep your
trolls on a shorter leash and you will see the cross-posting go away. FWIW,
r.c.m. is only experiencing a small fraction of what we experience from your
trolls. Have a nice day.

I've been lurking, but I guess it's time to speak up. This CA character has
a very good point. The m.s. group which is one of my favorites has been
over-run with spam from this group. The suspects seem top be Cliff and TMT
who post to many newsgroups at the same time.

While I don't like seeing the spam here in rec.crafts.metalworking, I can't
say that I blame the misc.survivalism crew from taking out their
frustrations on us. Cliff, TMT and now Ed and John Carroll (not mentioned
earlier, but is also a participant) are all belong to us, and we have
ignored requests to try to keep them in check. So quit posting off-topic to
their newsgroup and lets see if the spam eases up as CA seems to be saying
it will.

I bought a generator head and engine from someone who planned on
making a generator set for those times when the electrical power is
out. And I plan on finishing the project. However the seller had
misplaced the pulley for the generator. ( it is designed for belt
drive ) And the generator shaft is 24 mm. I can get a pulley and
taper hub from WW Grainger, but thought it might be cheaper to get a
pulley at the auto wrecking yard. Before I take calipers in hand and
wander thru some wrecking yards, I thought I would ask the group if
24mm is a common size for the bore of crankshaft pulleys.

Lovejoy couplings would be cheaper, but I would like to run the engine
at less than 3600 rpm.

That reminds me of David Eisan's post on the Wreck (almost a decade
ago; time flies!) about his kitchen incident.

Newsgroups: rec.woodworking
From: "David F. Eisan" <dfei...@home.com>
Date: 2000/06/19
Subject: Power tools in the kitchen.

Dear All,

This afternoon I was foolishly left alone in the kitchen with a
seemingly simple task, whip some cream.

It all started when I was attempting to whip some whipping cream into,
oddly enough, whipped cream with a hand whisk, and it seemed to
require far too much effort on my part. I am sure a Neander would be
quite happy with a hand whisk, but I was looking for a Normite way to
get this done.

Now I realise that most people have a power hand mixer, or what ever
they are called, but I don't have one.

I started thinking, hmm, how much different could one of those things
be from a router. All a hand mixer is, is a motor with a Jacobs chuck
like socket for whisks. Now if you think you know where I am going
with this, you are probably correct. I got out the dial callipers and
the shaft of the hand whisk was exactly 1/4". Woo Whoo, first problem
solved, I can use the standard 1/2" to 1/4" bushing. I go out to the
shop and take my three and a quarter horse Hitachi M12V out of the
router table and back into the kitchen. Using my 21mm and custom
ground thin 23mm Craftsman wrenches, I chuck up the whisk. Next
problem, speed. I measured the diameter of the business end of the
whisk and consulted my router bit speed chart. It said I should use
18,000 RPM. The only question left was technique, clockwise or counter
clockwise. Since I was doing an inside cut, I decided on the standard
counter clockwise.

I fired up the big green monster. Good thing the M12V has a soft start
feature, because even with my elbows braced on the countertop, this is
a heavy and unwieldy router to freehand in the air, but the torque was
still more than I was prepared for and I almost lost it. Okay, here we
are, full power. There was a quick blur of chaotic white liquid
filling the air and as the blur subsided I quickly realised the bowl
that previously held two cups of whipping cream was now virtually
devoid of cream. I powered down the router. My face, glasses and upper
body were covered in cream, as were two thirds of the kitchen. My
better half, alerted by the unusual tool noise and loud cursing coming
from the kitchen, walks in to ask just what the hell I thought I was
doing. I wipe off, change clothes and come back to explain myself and
clean up a very large mess.

Once I explained what I was attempting to the young lady I thought was
about to become my ex-wife (I could see it in her face, as she
thought, I cannot believe I actually married someone this stupid, Dad
was right), who is standing in front of me with a look of such total
disbelief that I would have previously thought impossible to display,
I was told that 18,000 rpm was a little too high an rpm for a whisk,
and that a variable speed cordless drill would have been the correct
choice of tool for this task. We were out of whipping cream at this
point, so I will have to wait until after I have a chance to go to the
store tomorrow to find out if the cordless drill works any better.
Damm, now that I think about it, it would seem like the drill press is
the way to go, then I could be just like Martha Stewart, Emeril or the
Cute short blonde lady with the bob haircut who has two shows on the
food network and have one of those big stationary Kitchen Aid looking
mixer thingies, Hmmmm.....

Live and learn.

Thanks,

David.

May you live in Interesting Times - Ancient Chinese Curse.
