TECHNICAL question: Give an user photo and get position object on streetview...

Hi,

Is it possible to give Google Maps's streetview an Image you took of -
for example - a building. And Google streetview shows where the
building is (directing data). Instead of looking at a building a get
user images..

Because I would like to use this for an kind of Augmented Reality App.
I have the position of were the images were taken (GPS data)....
So, now I only need the direction of the building (I mean A LOT OF
buildings...).
