[Rails] Running .exe External File in Ruby

Just need some help on how to run an .exe file in Ruby.

I tried the code:

f = IO.popen("C:\analog 6.0\analog.exe")
puts f.readlines

Which I had a bit of suspicion that it didn't work, and it didn't.
