along the route ide

Little newbie to maps, have a question on integrating google maps for
a feature listed on uship. They find shipments along the route, they
use PC-Miller for mapping this alogn the route. I was wondering if any
of you will be able to help me understand and point a way on how i can
do this with google maps. I dont need detailed instruction but
pointers would help me. If you ahve time for detailed instructions, i
wont complain at all :-)
