IE can't parse the XML. Not sure why, because it can display it in the
browser quite happily (this is a standard method of finding what's
wrong). Since the file is a static file (apparently), it's not easy to
reduce its content to see what could be causing the problem. But that
may be your only course of action: cut the file up into manageable
chunks and see if you can isolate what the issue is.
