[android-developers] Emulator issue 12987 status?

Hello,

I wonder if someone from the Google Android team could comment on the
status of the issue 12987 http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=12987

Is it confirmed to be an emulator bug?
Is confirmed to be an emulator-only bug?
Is there a fix in the works?
If so, when is it scheduled?

Or, do I need to dive into the various work-arounds that have been
suggested in order to be able to test apps on versions > 2.2?
