I'm afraid it might take ten seconds. It depends on the connection to the Internet. 

Thanks for your thought, though. I used have it like that. But I migrated the updating to an AsyncTask because when it updated I couldn't do anything else I ordinarily could do (enter preferences, click on links etc).
