That is, for the PHP code. Dreamweaver's OK for HTML, but I reckon you
have edited the genxml php code in Dreamweaver too.
It's producing complete gobbledygook. This is an empty output where
you don't have any markers:

I've used software called phpEdit before, which is paid-for but
includes a server for a full IDE. However, Notepad also produces valid
plain-text files. Get the genxml file off your server and check it in
Notepad.
