Re: [android-developers] My first Android App is not working

@MagouyaWare No, I haven't stepped through the code. All of the debugging options I'm new too. I am coming over from frontend design work where I don't need to debug anything. I do debug my javascript, but I use different standalone javascript tools to do so. So debugging Android or java I had to do some research.

The only advantage I see for Aptana over Eclipse is the themable panes Aptana has whereas in Eclipse I can only find a plugin that themes the codeview. That was worse in my opinion having a dark codeview and then surrounded by bright white panes on all sides. In Aptana when you theme a dark theme everything is dark. So if that makes a difference to you then you should check it out. If you don't care or have a preference for coding on white, then I don't think Aptana would offer anything spectacular. I did read they have brought more things into focus over Eclipse but from what I have seen it's the exact same thing.

Also, the developers in charge of Aptana just released earlier this year, Titanium, which is the supposed to be geared towards Android (and iOS) development. So everything is integrated for that and *better*(?) Can't say for certain since I haven't tried it. However, if you do like Eclipse and do a lot of Android work, I would wager it's at least worth a shot.
