Re: Possible to make different controllers share same action?

Either a component, or in your App Controller.
In the App Controller you'd be best just importing the model and doing what you need to do.
I believe doing it in App Controller sticks with MVC conventions rather than creating a component just for this one action but I could be wrong.

Dear Cakephp experts,

My database has a number of tables. The controller corresponding to each table share similar actions. Basically, the only difference is that the controller name is different. Is there some way to make them share the same action even though the controller name is different? Otherwise, I will have to code same action for different controllers which is highly inefficient.

Thank you.
